As much as I loved looking at pictures of sunrises on the east coast, I was not a morning person, and watching a sunrise once in your life was enough in my eyes. 6:45 AM? Grrr. I rolled out of bed and headed downstairs to make some coffee. I couldn't believe that I was wide awake so early in the morning. I hummed to myself looking through the cabinets for the coffee. What do I want to sing this morning? "Where did he tell me the coffee was?" I asked myself as I continued to search through the kitchen and finally found some high above the microwave. I started "crunk" dancing in the kitchen as I pulled the coffee filters out. "Ding! Dong! Special delivery, hello! Biggest midget in the game, can't get rid of me. Give me just a minute and I'll be your facility, my words hurt you just like loosin' ya virginity. Well I'm right thur, nah I'll tell a lie cause I'm right there, right hurr, nah right here. Now get off your churr, I mean chair. Some English MC's get it twisted start sayin cookies, instead of biscuits, anyways . . ." I turned the coffee pot on, spun around and almost lost my balance on my heel when I saw Sidney standing there with his mouth wide open. "Now I know you sing around the house, but rapping? I had no idea. I like that little move you did," he laughed as he tried to "crunk". Oh Sid, please don't ever do that again! "What are you doing up so early?" I asked trying to hide my very red face. "Couldn't sleep, rolled over saw you were gone already. Now I'm usually the early bird so I should be asking you what you're doing up already?" He leaned against the kitchen island starring me down. "I don't know, I woke up and I was instantly awake, it was weird, but I know that if I don't get coffee in me now, I'll be down and out by ten," I smiled walking up to him and wrapping my arms around his waist. He stood up straight and wrapped his arms around my shoulders, gently kissing me on my forehead. "Since we're up so early then, we should go for a drive this morning. I can take you around and just show you come places." "I would like that," I smiled dragging him upstairs with me.

I poured my coffee in my travelers mug and headed out to the garage where Sidney was already warming up the car. "What does your mug say?" Sidney asked laughing. "Cougar," I said holding it up for him to see, "Colby gave it to me." I wonder if he's seen my 'Armstrong's Bitch' mug yet? Hee-hee. "What does it mean?" he asked and my mouth dropped a little before I started laughing. "Cougar is a term for a woman who is dating a younger man. Technically a cougar is a woman over the age of thirty-five dating a man at least ten years younger than her, but five years for us is close enough," I laughed before taking a drink. "Yeah you are pretty old." "Oh thanks Crosby!" He drove around Cole Harbour for about a hour showing me the rinks he played in, the streets where him and his parents handed out fliers for extra money so Sidney would never have to wear hand me down gear. "Are you hungry? We should probably get something small because I know my mom is going to go all out with this BBQ later," Sidney laughed. "Yeah I can go for something," I smiled still looking out the window at how beautiful Nova Scotia was. We drove for a little bit more before pulling into a parking lot of a tiny restaurant right on the water. "Best subs in North America," Sidney smiled as he grabbed hold of my hand before we walked in. "Sidney Crosby, how the hell are you kid? We were wondering if you'd be coming home this summer we saw the pictures of your beautiful girlfriend in the paper, figured you would stay the summer with her. Oh my is this her?" the older gentleman behind the counter shouted. "Yeah Charlie, this is Avery. Avery this is Charlie, he lives across the street from my grandma's." I shook Charlie's hand and he quickly sat us down in the only booth in the place with a very nice view of the ocean. "Will you be having your usual Sid? And what can I get for the lady?" "Yes I'll have the same, you know what give Avery the same too," he smiled looking across the table for my approval. "I trust you Sid," I laughed. Sidney was right, this was the best sub I think I had ever had.

We drove around for a bit before pulling into a park on the water. "This is beautiful Sid," I smiled looking around. "I started coming here before the NHL draft, when my life was controlled by everyone else. This was the only place where I could actually think for myself. There's only one thing more that's more beautiful though," he smiled still looking out the window. "Mellon Arena isn't that great looking," I laughed. He turned in his seat to look at me. "You, Avery. You're beautiful, even with your broken nose I thought you were beautiful. I saw through the swelling and the bruises," he began to laugh. "Sorry, I'm trying to make this a romantic moment but the nose, I have to laugh." I started to laugh as well. "I don't really know what I'm trying to say Avery, but I love you, and you know that. I am so happy that you get along with my family so well. I can't wait to make you a permanent fixture, but when the time is right, it will happen." I leaned over and gave him a big kiss, rubbing my fingers on his ears.

The house was crowded with people everywhere, and I could feel the anxiety creeping up my spine as I tried to meet everyone I could. "Here, you're going to need this," Sidney smiled handing me a hockey stick. "Are we playing a pick up game?" I asked with a wide smile on my face, it had been years since I last played street hockey. "Yup, come on," he smiled dragging me out front where a bunch of people already had their sticks in a pile. We threw our sticks in and then Troy walked up and started separating the sticks. I waited until everyone picked their sticks up to see which one was mine. "Bring it Crosby," I yelled as I noticed I wasn't on his team. "Avery, do the face off," one of Sidney's cousin said as he set up in front of the net. "Do you know how to do a face off?" Sidney asked as he bent over in front of the puck just like he would on the ice. I set the blade of my stick down on the ground, "you don't know what's about to hit you." One, two, three and I slid the puck out from underneath his stick. Taylor passed the puck up to me and I tried to get around Sidney but there was no way, it was like trying to run over a brick wall. I passed the puck up to his cousin and Sidney stood there shocked. "Where did you learn to pass the puck like that?" "There's many talents I have that you have yet to discover Crosby, watch out, I'm about to deke you." A little later on in the game, it was tied two to two and I stopped to tie my shoe and the puck rolled right to my feet. I stood up real quick to hit the puck but before I could pull my stick back Sidney picked me up in one arm and ran with me all while keeping control of the puck. Somehow he managed to score a goal and determined that that was game over. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a holding penalty Sid!" Taylor yelled from the other end of the street. "Yeah Sid!" I laughed as he set me down and gave me a kiss.

Through out dinner more pictures were brought out and the women congregated to the kitchen while the men stayed out on the front porch. "Avery! Jack just got here," Sidney yelled through the front door. Sidney had told me a few things about Jack, how they played together in high school, but not much more than that. I walked outside, wine in hand and was greeted by a very tall blond. "Hi Avery, it's great to finally meet you. Seems like you've corrupted my boy here and we are all very happy about that," he smiled pulling me into a hug. "Glad I can help, nice to meet you Jack," I smiled pulling away from him. "Avery do you know who this guy is?" Sidney asked with a wicked smile on his face. "It's Jack, your friend," I laughed. "Jack Johnson, he plays for the Kings." "No shit," I shouted looking up at Jack. "Crosby, you're dating a Kings fan?" Jack began to laugh wrapping his arm around Sidney's shoulders. "I didn't go to that game because I would have been so confused. I wouldn't know who to cheer for," I laughed as I looked up at Sidney who rolled his eyes. "So if we ever played against each other for the cup, you would have a heart attack right?" Jack asked laughing. My eyes grew wide and I thought about it, "I don't know what I would do, that will never happen though, I've come to accept that the Kings suck." Sidney slipped out from Jack's grip and wrapped his arms around my shoulder. "Yup, that's my girl," he smiled looking at Jack.

"Avery darling, you see Sid all the time, come talk with us," Trina giggled sticking her head out the front door. "Oh, girl talk, I love it," I laughed before giving Sidney a kiss and made my way inside. I leaned up against the kitchen counter as Trina filled my glass with some more wine. I was already feeling buzzed and really didn't want to drink anymore but Trina insisted. "So did you know my son has a terrible sense of direction?" she asked laughing filling her own glass. "I do, it's really bad. REALLY bad, but I act stupid. I always know when he's lost but I don't dare say a word, he is a man after all," I laughed. "Oh Troy is the same way," she giggled. "Trina tells me you kids are going to Ireland," Grandma Crosby smiled at me. "We are in a little less than two weeks, I am very excited. Ireland is somewhere I have always wanted to visit, but it always came second to some place else when it came to family vacations," I laughed. "Oh where all have you been?" "Italy, England, Finland and I lived in South Africa for four years before moving to Pittsburgh." "You are well traveled, I have always wanted to see Italy. We've been trying to plan a family vacation, where everyone can go, but it's been impossible," Grandma Crosby smiled. Well I know what we're doing next summer!

Before I could even blink, Trina was filling my glass up with wine yet again. "Trina are you trying to get me drunk?" I asked laughing as she finished the bottle off in my glass. "Maybe," she laughed clinking her glass to mine. "I will be right back, if I'm not back in three minutes come yelling for me," I laughed making my way out the front door. "Sidney, your mother is trying to get me plastered," I laughed sitting down on his lap. "So the singing will start in what . . . twenty minutes?" he asked laughing looking down at his watch. "If not sooner, you know I love to sing, as shitty as I am at it, but when I'm drunk I'm a freakin' rock star!" I gave him a quick kiss and headed back into the kitchen to find Trina looking through some CD's. Damn he's good. "Oh Avery you're back good, I was about to send the troops. What shall we listen to?" Trina smiled at me before turning back to the stack of CD's she was holding. I stood next to her looking through them. "Oh, look at this gem!" I shouted pulling the Weather Girls CD out of the stack. I popped the CD in the CD player and quickly put it on track four. The opening notes poured through the house and I began to sway my hips. At first Trina and I were just mouthing the words dancing around the kitchen, then we really got into it. "Cause tonight for the first time, just about half past ten. For the first time in history it's gonna start raining men! It's raining men, hallelujah, it's raining men, amen. I'm gonna go out, I'm gonna let myself get absolutely soaking wet!!" I turned around to see Sidney and Troy standing in the hallway starring at us. I continued to sing as I walked up to Sidney. He could only smile and shake his head.

"I got to give it to you Avery, I have never seen my mother so out of her element like that before. Don't get me wrong, I've seen her drunk, but singing and dancing around the kitchen? That was awesome!" Sidney laughed as he drove us back to the house. I leaned across the center council giving him tiny kisses along his jaw line, strategically placing my hand high on his inner thigh. "Sid, I'm drunk," I whispered into his ear. "Babe, we still have twenty minutes before we get home, I'd hate to get into another accident," he said with a shaky voice. "Slow down then, don't drive so fast," I whispered as I drew all of my attention to his crotch. I slowly unbuckled his belt and could hear him rubbing his hands on his leather steering wheel. "Did you slow down?" I asked as I unbuttoned his shorts and pulled down the zipper. "Going thirty in a fifty, so uh yeah," his voice was still shaky. I grabbed onto his shorts and tried to yank them down a bit, but they weren't going anywhere. As if he was reading my mind, he sat up allowing me to pull down his shorts and boxer briefs. I took his penis in my hands and began massaging him, waking the beast. I wasted no time taking his full length in my mouth. I hate foreplay, just get to the point ya know? "Avery . . . Avery . . . there's a cop behind me." I rolled my eyes and continued. I felt his hand on the back of my head for a few seconds and then he put his hand back on the steering wheel. I pulled away, "gone?" "Yeah, ah, Avery. Oh god, Avery," his voice was so shaky and just like that he came in my mouth. After I pulled away I couldn't help but laugh. "Was that too dangerous for you?" He opened his mouth but nothing came out, he just had a huge smile on his face. "Yeah Crosby, that just happened," I laughed.
